Kishinobo
Kishinobo, located in the Nishitani Valley of Mt. Minobu, was founded in 1450 by St. Nisshin, a Buddhist priest of the Nichiren Buddhism sect who devoted his life to the propagation of the Nichiren Buddhism sect. It is said that St. Nisshin faced opposition from various groups and suffered a life of hardship due to his strict adherence to the teachings of St. Nichiren, the founder of the Nichiren Buddhism.
Located near St. Nichiren’s mausoleum and the ruins of his hermitage, the beautifully landscaped temple lodge offers a spectacular view of Mt. Takatori, as though it is reflecting the strength of St. Nisshin’s determination.
A new rental/coworking space has been open since December 2021. In addition to providing a place to stay with meals, it can be used for work, yoga, and many other purposes.
