Kubonobo
Kubonobo, located in the east valley of Mt. Minobu, was founded by St. Nichiji (Renge Ajari), one of the six elder disciples of St. Nichiren.
The founder, St. Nichiji, is believed to be the first person in the history of Japanese Buddhism to go overseas to propagate Nichiren Buddhism. The temple is also known as the “temple for academics,” as he is said to have read Japanese and Chinese classical books from an early age and demonstrated his talent in writing and waka poetry.
We also offer a variety of activities such as meditation, workshops, advisory sessions and calligraphy classes to suit your needs.
