Minobu Yuba no Sato
“Yuba”, the protein-rich tofu skin, is a local specialty of Minobu Town. “Minobu Yuba no Sato” is a manufacturer of Yuba and has an annex where you can enjoy the delicacy of Yuba in three ways: making, eating, and purchasing Yuba. Minobu Yuba-no-Sato also sells local produce such as fresh vegetables and fruits produced in Yamanashi prefecture and Minobu town.
The “Soy Milk Soft Ice Cream,” “Okara Oyaki (stuffed dumpling with soy pulp)” and “Yubako-chan Croquettes,” which are only available at this facility, are rare local specialties that you should definitely try.
With Japanese Yuba-centered cuisine offered at the adjacent restaurant, visitors can enjoy the fine delicacy of Yuba produced in Minobu town.
The “Yuba Making Experience,” which requires reservations in advance, is a recommended activity that allows visitors to learn about the process of making Yuba, which is carefully crafted by hand, one piece at a time.
