Rokugo Seal Engravers Cooperative Association

六郷印章業連合組合

The Rokugo district of Ichikawa Misato town, Yamanashi prefecture, is known as “The home of Hanko, the best engraved seal/stamp” in Japan. The Rokugo Seal Engravers Cooperative Association, which has its roots in the Kyonan Seal Industry Association established before 1926, is a town-designed seal engraving organization.

The members of the association are dealers, engravers, and seal manufacturers, some of which include noted members such as seal engravers who acquired national qualifications, as well as members who have been awarded “Contemporary Master Craftsmen” by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare.

In addition to building a network for seal engraving from manufacturing to distribution, the company also promotes the charms of the Rokugo district throughout Japan, including a “seal engraving experience” to create a one-of-a-kind, original Hanko.
